Introduction
A stunning hotel redolent
of Viennese history and culture and situated on the famous Ringstrasse,
Hotel De France is one of the best hotels in town. Since 1872, when it
was first built, the hotel has been home to some famous names including
composer Bruckner and the Allied high command following the Second World
War. Facilites include a sauna, solarium and two foreign language cinemas.
Location
On the north western
edge of the central Ringstrasse, Hotel De Paris is close to the vast majority
of Vienna's major sights such as the Spanish Riding School, the Hofburg
and the Burgtheater, as well as a plethora of outstanding palaces and
museums. The above are mostly easily reachable by foot, but those wishing
to save some shoe leather can use the metro. There's a stop near the hotel.
Bedrooms
Rooms come in either
traditional Viennese or chic modern. Both styles drip with cool elegance
and both feature a long facilities list including hairdryer, mini-bar,
safe, satellite TV and trouserpress. There are also suites and business
rooms available.
Restaurants
The Bel Etage does a
mean mix of French and Austrian cuisine to the highest of standards, while
the hotel's bistro specialises in light snacks and - vital for any visitor
to this city - Viennese pastries. Three bars complete the catering picture;
one is in the splendidly spacious atrium, the other two are Japanese in
theme with Karaoke and sushi included

by the business rooms which have separate living and sleeping areas as
