Many of the hotels
lie on the outskirts of the city, a situation that can make getting out
and about a bit tricky, especially for those without transport. Better
to go for a centrally located placel such as the Hotel

Introduction

Currency - The Austrian Schilling (AS) divided
into 100 groschen. There are approximately 13 schilling to the dollar
and the euro, 20 to the pound sterling.
Weather
- Summers are warm though winters can be bitterly cold. Average temperatures
in June are 23 C.
Airports
- Salzburg Airport (4km West of the city) Buses leave from the airport
to the city's main station, the Sudtirolerplatz every 15 minutes, journey
time is 20 minutes. Taxis are few and far between particularly during
festival time so it's best to phone on arrival at the airport.
