Rome, Italy: Culture
Opera is perhaps the most Italian of the high arts. Opera's home in Rome is the Teatro dell Opera, which hosts performances from November to May. In the summer, shows switch to the open-air splendour of the Villa Borgehese, or sometimes to the sports stadium, Stadio Olimpico, that is usually home to the city's two football clubs, Lazio and Roma. Other classical music is staged at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia.
