Introduction
The Hotelgenie likes

after visiting the Steigenberger Kurhaus, a hotel that appears to have
everything. This is a hotel set on the coast, yet only a few miles from
the big city, a hotel that is both traditional (it's over 100 years old)
and modern and that offers superb levels of comfort and service.
Location
A few miles from the
centre of The Hague, the Kurhaus is in the famous Scheveningen area on
a beautiful, sandy, stretch of the North Sea coast. Scheveningen has an
eye-catching pier, a Sea Life centre and casino - all within easy reach
of the hotel. The Hague itself is minutes away by car or tram and features
famous museums and churches. Between Scheveningen and the heart of the
city, there's Madurodam, a fascinating model village that is, in fact,
The Netherlands in miniature.
Bedrooms
Rooms are spacious and
elegantly decorated and come with the kinds of facilities you'd expect
of a five-star hotel. Extra levels of service and comfort can be had in
the hotel's executive rooms, while there are also spacious suites and
bridal suites available.
Restaurants
Two bars and a restaurants offer a wide range of choice. Serious diners
head for the superb Kandinsky which, as well as a fine a la carte menu,
has a terrace with stunning views over the sea. The Kurzaal restaurant
serves an a la carte menu as well as 3 and 4-course options. With the
menues changing every month, dining here offers thought-provoking variety.
The Conservatory offers excellent light meals and snacks together with
drinks in a sun-blessed environment, a feature it shares with the relaxing
Sun Lounge.
Business Facilities
15 meeting rooms of varying size and capacity (up to 600) form the basis
of the Kurhaus's business facilities, while a fully-equipped business
centre provides welcome back up.
