Introduction

in a great city centre location. First built in 1859 and retaining many
of the decorative details from that era, the Eggers was refurbished three
years ago.
Location
Close to Gothenburg's
major attractions such as the Maritime Museum, Botanic Garden and the
Nordstan shopping complex. Also nearby is Gothenburg's main street, Kungsportsaveyn,
with its Concert Hall and museums. The railway station is nearer still,
just around the corner from the hotel.
Bedrooms
Each room has been given
its own style and unique furnishings, though most reflect the hotel's
19th century origins. Rooms are usually large, with high ceilings.
Restaurants
The hotel's restaurant
is well known in Gothenburg and serves a mix of local and international
cuisine in the frankly astounding surroundings of a huge wood-panelled
dining hall.
