Introduction
A stunning brick and
glass facade on a striking rounded structure greets lucky visitors to
the Park Plaza Hotel, Koln, an elegantly modern hotel that has already won
plaudits from many of its guests since opening in autumn 1999.
Location
The centre of Cologne
is a short cab or tram ride away (3.5km/2.2 miles) while major events
venues such as the Cologne Exhibition Centre and the Koln Arena are nearer
still.
Bedrooms
Rooms are furnished to
a high standard in clear cut modern designs and come equipped with a variety
of facilities including modem/fax connection, voice mail telephone, mini-bar,
safe and cable TV. Nineteen business suites come complete with a balcony
and tea and coffee making facilities.
Restaurants
International and local cuisine is cooked to a high standard at the Calla
restaurant, where a wide range of snack and bistro style dishes are also
served. The lobby bar is well stocked, not least in supplies of the local
Kolsch beer.
Business Facilities
Nine conference areas
are available with a capacity of 220 guests. The Park Plaza also has a
business corner with free internet access where guests can settle down
to some work in front of a computer.
