Introduction
Standing on the bank
of the Rhine, the Bellevue Rheinhotel, established in 1887 and completely
refurbished in recent years, is a great, character-filled place from which
to explore the famous river and its surrounding region. The hotel has
an indoor swimming pool, sauna and tennis court.
Location
The picturesque town
of Boppard is well placed for trips to some of the best sights the Rhine
and its environs have to offer. In the near vicinity are 19 castles, hundreds
of kilometres of spectacular walking routes and the famous rock of the
mythical Lorelei, a beautiful young woman who was said to lure unsuspecting
sailors to their deaths.
