Introduction
Bilbao shot to world
fame in recent years with the completion of the stunning Guggenheim Museum,
a sight that's within easy reach of the Ercilla. The hotel is also noteworthy

Location
Close to the arty delights
of both the Museo de Bellas Artes (Basque art through the ages) and the
Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (international and national modern, abstact etc),
the Ercilla is also within walking distance of the Palacio Foral and one
of the city's focal points, the Plaza Moyua. The main train station is
nearby, while the historic Casco Viejo area, with its hill top vantage
point, is not much further, just over the River Nervion.
Bedrooms

and elegantly refurbished to a consistently high quality level. Satellite
and interactive TV with personal video channels are fitted as standard.
Restaurants
The Ercilla's Bermeo Restaurant has won a series of national awards and,
with its emphasis squarely on finely prepared, traditional Basque cuisine,
it's easy to see why. Flexibility is also the Bermeo's hallmark as small
dining rooms are available alongside the main eating space, an area that
can cater for up to 600 diners. The Coffee-Shop Ercilla serves up lighter
meals, both local and international, while cocktail fans will be happy
in the hotel's American Bar.

Nine separate meeting
rooms cater for a wide range of meeting shape and size, the biggest capable
of hosting a 350 strong conference; the most intimate a 20 person seminar.
